Dallas Property Management : The Best and the Worst Apartment Pets
Owners of income property and their agents in Dallas property management all agree that having a pet-friendly policy will attract more vacancy applicants than not allowing pets. Nevertheless, all pets are not created equal, especially for apartment living. Below is a list of some of the best and the worst. You may choose to ban some members of the latter group.
Apartment Pets, the Best
Fish - Low-maintenance and beautiful, an apartment aquarium can provide a home for fascinating fish, along with a source of relaxation for the owner. Taking care of fish is a highly educational experience for children, too.
Good dogs - While dogs usually require the most attention and are the least independent of pets, they will give back in unconditional love much more than they get.
Cats - Probably the nation's favorite apartment pet, cats are much more able to find happiness without your help than dogs are, yet they can be extremely loving and fun to have around. Siamese cats are known for their neighbor-irritating voices, and short-hair cats are easier on the furniture.
Apartment Pets, the Worst
Bad dogs - Certain dog breeds are on most income property's banned lists, such as pit bulls, Rottweilers, and some German shepherds.
Reptiles and birds - The experts advise avoiding these, as a rule. Reptiles require live nourishment such as mice, and birds are notoriously noisy.
Rabbits - These fluffy creatures can bite and require quite a bit of room and attention.
